You might say that orthodontics is in our blood. Our father, Andrew founded Haas Orthodontic Arts more than 60 years ago. Three of Dr. Andrew’s eight children became orthodontists. Dr. Roger, Dr. Mark and Dr. Eric. Dr. Roger practiced orthodontics for over 40 years and retired in 2023. Today, two of Dr. Andrew’s sons, Mark and Eric, carry on the family tradition of providing exemplary orthodontic care in Stow and the Akron/Canton areas.
The two of us have extensive experience and training in orthodontic treatment. We are committed to using the best techniques in orthodontic care, to ensure a stable, long-standing result. We want you to be proud of your “Haas smile” for a lifetime.

Our team of experienced orthodontists
Dr. Mark Haas spent most of his life in the Akron area and earned his orthodontic certification in 1985. Although he was born in Greenville, SC while his parents were stationed at Fort Donaldson Air Force Base. Dr. Mark has spent most of his life in the Akron area. Dr. Mark is a graduate of Walsh Jesuit high school in 1973. He then continued his education at the University of Akron and Kent State University before moving to Chicago to finish his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Lake Shore Campus. He then completed his graduate and post-graduate studies at Loyola University Maywood Campus, where he earned his dentistry degree in 1983 and then received his orthodontic certification in 1985.
Dr Mark has three children- Annalee, Dieter and Rupert. A dedicated family man, he enjoys spending much of his non-working time with his family. His outside interested include golf, skiing and traveling.

A native of the Akron area, Dr Eric Haas joined his family’s orthodontic practice in 1991. Born and raised in northeast Ohio, Dr. Eric graduated from Walsh Jesuit High School in 1980. Dr. Eric earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University of Chicago. He then completed his dentistry studies at the Ohio State University in 1989 and completed his post-graduate studies in orthodontics at Loyola University in 1991. He then returned to the Akron area to join his family’s practice.
Dr. Eric lives in Stow with his wife Annabelle and he has four children. His outside interests include raising his family, cooking and many outdoor pursuits.
